It has a large picture window, a freestanding gas fireplace with protective glass that permits viewing from various sides, a counter with a sink, and a small GE refrigerator.

    Attention to detail is evident in the use of high quality solid doors and crown molding throughout the home. The house has been wired for sound and is ready for a audio system to be added.

    The finished garage is attached and has two large bays and a smaller one, which can be used for storage or lawn equipment. There is also a secure storage room in the garage.

    The brick and wood exterior has a clean, tidy appearance, and long-lasting, heavy-duty architectural shingles. The landscaping includes ornamental grasses, hostas, smoke bushes and a blue spruce tree, which need little maintenance. A back porch overlooks the yard, pasture and woods, and a built-in outdoor grill and fireplace add to the possibilities for entertaining.

    Bear Claw Estates is just off Benedict Lane, a few miles north of downtown Lewisburg. The location is “out in the country”, but close enough that shopping and services are nearby. The town is home to the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and a campus of New River Community and Technical College.

    The Greenbrier, which occupies 10,000 acres, is one of the world’s top luxury resorts. The hotel’s offerings include multiple golf courses, a spa, a tennis complex, a casino, high-end shopping, an art colony and 10 restaurants. The resort hosts the annual Greenbrier Classic, a PGA tour event, and houses a summer training facility for the NFL’s New Orleans Saints.

    The Greenbrier River draws anglers and kayakers, and the 75-mile long Greenbrier River Trail paralleling the river is popular with hikers and bicyclists. Snowshoe Ski Resort, a scenic 90-minute drive to the north, is the largest ski complex in the Mid-Atlantic States, and has an extensive system of mountain biking trails available in the off-seasons.
